My stay at Rydges Wellington had its ups and downs. The location was perfect for exploring the city and the view from my room was lovely. However, I did encounter some cleanliness issues that detracted from the overall experience. The breakfast was quite good, but I wish the staff had been more attentive to room service and maintenance.

I had a wonderful stay at Rydges Wellington. the buffet breakfast was a highlight with plenty of variety. The location was fantastic, being close to the CBD and within walking distance to Te Papa. However, my overall experience was a bit marred by some service hiccups and a few facility inconveniences.

I had a great experience at Rydges Wellington, from the excellent central location to the lovely breakfast. The room offered a nice view and had enough space for my bags, but I did encounter a few issues with cleanliness and service during my stay. Overall, I would recommend it for a convenient getaway. 😊

Rooms

The room was spacious and immaculate, with a great view of the dockside. However, it had a bit of a musty smell and some condensation on the windows. I expected a larger room since I paid extra for an executive one.

I had a lovely stay at Rydges Wellington, enjoying the gorgeous harbour view and the clean, modern decor of my room. However, I found the gym a bit minimal, and there were some issues with the breakfast service during busy times. Overall, it was a good experience, but there were a few hiccups that could use improvement.

Rooms
8.0
My harbour view king room was luxurious and spotlessly clean, with a nice bathtub and kitchenette. It was spacious enough for two adults and two kids, though I noticed some rooms only had showers. The view of half the harbour was a treat, but the air conditioning struggled a bit.
Service
7.0
The staff were generally friendly and attentive, especially during busy breakfast hours, but I encountered some hiccups at check-in and checkout. Despite these issues, they maintained a professional demeanor throughout my stay.
Location

The location was fabulous, just 100 meters from the bus station and ferry terminal, and within walking distance to cafes and attractions. I felt it was the best part of the trip, although it was a bit windy during my stay.
Dining

Breakfast was a highlight, featuring delicious options like scrambled eggs and berry compote, although I experienced some chaos due to understaffing during peak times which affected the overall dining experience.
Facilities

The pool and spa looked inviting, though I didn't get a chance to use them. The gym had limited equipment, which was a disappointment. Room service and other amenities appeared to be well-managed.

I had mixed feelings about my stay. The harbor view from my room was stunning, but a few annoying issues really took away from the experience. The communication about parking was misleading, and our room felt cramped without adequate storage or seating options. Overall, there were some good points but several improvements needed.

Rooms
6.0
The view from the room was fantastic, but the layout was cramped and lacked seating. Plus, the heating system was a bit inadequate, leading to moisture issues.
Service
5.0
The staff were friendly and helpful when I needed assistance, but the communication about parking fees and available facilities was seriously lacking.
Location
7.0
The hotel is conveniently located close to attractions and the waterfront, making it easy to explore the city on foot.
Dining
5.0
I didn't get to enjoy the dining as much as I hoped, partially due to the need to ask for tables to be wiped at breakfast, which was a bit distracting.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were okay, but the air conditioning was old and didn't seem to work well, which impacted the overall comfort of my stay.
